We’re not ones for complicated pricing, we have just one rate—no frills, no tricks, no endless fine print. Our contract can be canceled monthly, and everyone is on the same plan regardless of when they signed up.
As a green energy company, we want to help you reduce your energy consumption, and not profit from your use. We don't believe in long, inflexible contract terms, nor do we automatically migrate you to a more expensive rate after one year.
Our tariff is calculated based on the current market price including government taxes and levies, with a flat 6€ basic fee to cover our administration costs.

Our tariff is variable, which means that prices can go up, but they can also go down.
When prices go up, we do our best to minimize the impact. When they go down, we pass on those savings to our customers as quickly as possible. In both cases, we will inform you at least four weeks in advance.

To ensure accurate billing, you can submit your current meter reading in our app as soon as your contract is confirmed.
The more often you submit your meter readings, the more accurate our energy consumption forecasts will be. We recommend submitting them once a month.
With Ostrom, you only pay for what you actually use, so we'll refund the difference if you end up using less energy than you indicated (and vice versa).
Additionally, you can easily adjust your monthly deposit in our app at any time, rather than waiting until the end of the year to find out if you paid too much or too little.
You can sign up with or without a smart meter—It does not change the rate.
As the infrastructure to integrate smart meters isn’t widely available yet in Germany, we have decided not to offer the automatic meter reading submission for now—but we are working on it! Therefore, meter readings, whether you have a smart meter or a manual meter, can simply be submitted through our app.
