I came across Ostrom through a price comparison website and loved the idea that even customers without a smart meter could get electricity at the average market price without any markup.The next highlight for me was that Ostrom took care of procuring and installing my smart meter – at a time when they were hardly available. Just a few clicks in the Ostrom app, and shortly after, I had my installation appointment. The customer service also impressed me from the start: questions about the meter exchange or monthly advance payments were answered in the chat in a friendly and competent manner – with no waiting time. That sets the benchmark for hotlines, and it would be great if other companies operated the same way.

When I found out that Ostrom has now built a virtual power plant with NeoGrid, which my electric car can easily be integrated into, I was thrilled. What’s great is that I don’t need any special hardware for it – the charging schedule is managed through my car’s standard cloud connection. It really couldn’t be simpler. In this context, the Ostrom app stood out to me – it runs smoothly and is attractively and clearly designed. I regularly use it to set the charging parameters for my EV, and it works perfectly.

And now the next big feature has already been announced – the integration of PV systems into the Ostrom ecosystem. That means the dream of charging my EV with solar surplus is finally becoming a reality – easily and without any additional hardware, unlike with other providers. It’s really clever and innovative that Ostrom uses existing cloud connections to the PV system and EV manufacturers – the best way to make this happen.I’m very glad I switched to Ostrom and keep being surprised by innovative "new energy" features that I can use effortlessly.By now, I’ve gone from customer to Ostrom fan and can recommend it to everyone.

For EV drivers like me, Ostrom – as an innovative electricity provider – offers a helpful home charging service. With NeoGrid, I not only automatically “refuel” my Tesla at night at the lowest electricity price, but I also earn additional money through credits for grid-friendly charging.

After my electricity provider discontinued the combined home/away charging card, I started looking for a new charging electricity provider for my underground garage.

I quickly chose Ostrom, as they offered a potential future integration with my Tesla and a charging control system. In addition to the favorable conditions for the Hesse region, that was the deciding factor.The activation was quick, and I was promptly offered the "VPP" (Virtual Power Plant) concept as a test user – which immediately convinced me.

After a few adjustment cycles, "VPP" became "NeoGrid" and worked increasingly well with my older Model S during the test phase.Finally, the iMSys meter was installed, and the control and billing have since been running as planned in regular operation.Ostrom provided excellent support throughout all phases of the project – a true win-win story.
