What Is A Smart Meter?
A smart meter is a meter that can accurately record and transmit your electricity consumption by the hour. Unlike conventional meters, which require manual reading and often result in estimates, smart meters provide detailed and accurate information about your electricity consumption. This data will then be automatically sent directly to your electricity provider. This means your meter no longer needs to be read manually and you are billed according to your actual consumption.

To ensure a smooth and consistent smart meter rollout in Germany, we work together with authorised metering point operators (gMSB). We forward your smart meter order to them and they take care of the installation and commissioning.

Step 2: Installation Date Is Set
4-8 Weeks
Our partner grid will contact you for an installation appointment.

Once the smart meter is installed we are waiting for the grid provider to send us your consumption data.
Step 4: Grid sends us your consumption data
